I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
