An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
